Dalen has over fifty years of experience manufacturing snow blowers for Norway’s challenging snow conditions, which has refined the details. Dalen's blowers cope well with varying snow conditions; thawing and refreezing remain a familiar challenge.

The Dalen 2007 is the most robust V-blower in the range. It is intended for tractors over 95 hp. It has the same 90 cm diameter discharge impeller as their flagship screw-blower 2014. While screw blowers are best suited to low speeds and very large volumes of snow, the V-blower is better for higher speeds and smaller snow volumes.

The video below best shows Dalen's asymmetry. From the rear the right side is “longer” and at a shallower angle. This helps run the snow evenly to the discharge impeller.

Another important detail is the discharge impeller and the chute. The impeller's profile and machining have been made as precise as possible so the blower throws snow, not air. The chute is also shaped like a trough, increasing the throw distance. Dalen's snow stream is the most even in all conditions and therefore has the longest throwing range. Chute rotation and a hydraulic flap at the chute end are optional extras. These allow the snow stream to be directed back into the blower, protecting e.g. buildings and avoiding leaving snow at junctions.
