The body has some wear, rust on the arches and sills, plus scratches and dents here and there. Interior tidy, equipment functional. Auxiliary heater starts but switches off almost immediately. Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we observed the following:

  • Driveable and generally OK to drive. The oil pressure warning lamp lights at idle once the engine warms up. This was observed when the car arrived to us as a part-exchange but could not be reproduced for the sales photos. Not investigated further.

  • Idle is rather uneven and there is a strange banging noise on start-up. Not investigated further.

  • Failed MOT inspection — see attached photo. Failure due to stud difference.

  • Oil leak from the engine; likely the valve cover gasket, which is a common issue on this engine. Not investigated further.

  • Marks on the bodywork, worst rust on the sills and wheel arches.

  • Auxiliary heater comes on but does not stay on; not investigated further.

  • Summer tyres in poor condition, about 3 mm tread depth. Winter tyres have tread but significant stud difference. Both aluminium wheels present but in poor condition.

The car has not undergone a technical inspection by us and not all equipment has been tested. There may be hidden faults that did not appear during the test drive. You may inspect the car more closely before making a binding bid. Please arrange your visit in advance, thank you.
